As CEO and founder of Class People, I have spent many years building the business from a small lifestyle company into a respected, independent leader within education recruitment.
From the very beginning, my focus has always been on quality. I am passionate about the education sector and about the role recruitment can play in supporting schools, teachers and, ultimately, the children at the heart of everything we do. That belief has shaped Class People from the outset and continues to influence the way we work today.
I have always been determined to raise standards within supply and education recruitment, particularly around candidate quality, professional development and the level of support schools receive. I strongly believe that supply teachers and education professionals should feel valued, supported and empowered to take ownership of their own development, while schools should be able to rely on recruitment partners who genuinely understand their needs.
That commitment to doing things properly has been central to the growth of Class People and to the reputation the business has built over the years. Although I am now partly retired, I remain deeply connected to the company and just as passionate about providing the highest level of support to schools, educators and children.
Outside of work, I have always had a real sense of adventure. I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to explore destinations all over the world, with a recent highlight being a walking tour through Peru. I have also climbed many mountains over the years and still love the challenge, perspective and sense of achievement that comes with being outdoors and pushing yourself. Family is incredibly important to me too, and one of my greatest joys is being a doting grandmother to Sebastian.
Class People has always been about more than recruitment for me. It is about raising standards, creating opportunities and making a positive difference to education, and I am incredibly proud of how far the business has come and of the people who continue to carry that vision forward.
